Lavado Burrows

At 35 years old, Lavado has been guiding for over half his life - mostly concentrated around his home grounds of Staniard Creek and North Andros. Trained by some of Andros' finest guides, Lavado worked for many years as a house guide for Kamalame Cay Resort. Now a private guide, he is accomplished and experienced to help all levels of fishermen and women.

He is very experienced in the fishing grounds of the famed Joulter Cays and also has some experience on the West Side fishing grounds. Lavado has been involved with several documentary productions including teams from the National Geographic in particular with a project on tagging and counting populations of the endangered Sawfish.

 

Charter Details:

Lavado fishes out of a 17ft maverick skiff with an 85hp Yamaha 2-stroke engine. He has experience in all the North Andros fishing grounds as well as the Joulter Cays.

What to bring:

Equipment - Lavado does carry spare rod outfits (Fly & Spin) but it is best to bring your own.

Tackle - Again, he does have his own but it's best to bring your own tackle box with spare leader, tippit and a selection of flies. Remember wading boots or water shoes as depending on the tides, wading will be part of your trip.

Bone-fishing charter costs:

$450 - Half day (approx. 4hrs.)

$500 - Full day (approx. 8hrs.)

$600 - Full day Joulter Cays.

50% deposit is required on booking, which is non-refundable. The balance is due on arrival. Deposit may be sent via direct bank transfer and balance is cash on island preferred.
